Update-type thing

Haven't left the house since Wednesday, just been too tired, achy, and unwilling to expose myself to elements that might worsen this sore throat & earache I've got. Maybe that lovely seven-mile walk took a bit out of me after all. Did have plans for today, but they all required either (A) going for long walks in cold rain or (B) talking on the phone with a sore throat, so I decided to change plans and spend most of the day reading or napping.

One major event today: For the first time in the year that I've had AOL, I had to call tech support. After establishing that nothing was wrong with my computer and the AOL software was just being stupid, we got things straightened out and (with a great sense of relief) I got online again. Good thing, too, as stapling my hand to my forehead didn't much appeal to me. The AOL tech support guy lived up to the reputation of being friendly and helpful, though of course during the years with my old ISP I never had to call tech support for anything at all.

I discovered that Yahoo! Music Australia finally has expanded features like other regional Launchcasts, so I'm listening to Made in Australia, which is the only remotely entertaining thing I have done today. Maybe I should have stapled my hand to forehead after all.

Love that song.

It wasn't bad. I suspect this will brand me as terminally uncool, but the songs I liked most on that station were either by Icehouse (whose music I've adored since high school) or Taxiride.

Not uncool

If it's from Imaginate, then Taxiride is well worth the listen. Great harmony.

As for Icehouse, the classics are always great.

Oh great. Now you've given me an idea what to do the next time I can't leave the house (which will probably be soon).

:)

At least hands staped to foreheads are stylishly cool amongst gothy types. With my luck and lack of coordination, I'd probably staple my nose to my big toe, and that would just be silly. Since (as we all know) I am never silly, this clearly would not work out well for me.
