Oh dearie
Pretend for a moment that I have something deep and meaningful to say here. Thank you.
Today, spent some time reading books, some time reading online, a little time attempting to nap, a reasonable amount of time finding cute squashes and onions at the supermarket, less time doing laundry than I would have liked, and some happy time watching Bones (not a great show, but it didn't make me feel like hurling the TV set out the window) and House, M.D. (a great show).
The thought taking over my brain tonight is: Weather Porn. You see, back when Katrina was approaching land,
daisydumont used the term "weather porn" in reference to the lurid details voyeuristic reporters dilate upon when some great storm is preparing to ravish the land. This discussion taking place before we knew the full extent of Kat's damage, it was more amusing to me then than it is now to think about weather-related fanfic all about the torrid relationship between the hurricane and the Gulf of Mexico. Anyway, I was reminded of the weather porn concept again today when I looked at Weather Underground's current tropical weather page and saw the name of this storm. If you do not know why that name triggers thoughts of weather porn, you have probably never been an English-speaking teenager.
Yes, please pretend I had something deep and meaningful to say here.

And the graphic of the storm track kinda resembles a sperm.
Way too much free time on my hands, today :)

We now return you to your regularly scheduled, unhijacked post. ;)

I've tried making my own version of a hummingwolf (with a program called POV-Ray), but mine probably is closer to a stuffed toy fox with wings than a wolf. At least you can identify the general areas of the animal kingdom involved. ;-)
