I have read the first five (? I think) Harry Potter books once each; haven't had a chance to read the sixth at all. The first movie has been shown in the lobby at social services several of the times I've had to hang around the place, but the volume wasn't always turned up high enough for me to hear what was going on. A too-tight ponytail barette gave me a headache today and it is past my bedtime. So, how well could I do on The Harry Potter Spells Test, do you think?
Fear me.
In other news: Tonight I decided to brave the brown water and do some laundry, starting with the sheets because how much does it matter if those get stained when I'm the only person who sees them anyway? Unfortunately, the light bulb in the laundry area had burned out. Pfft! It's much too dark down there to see anything without artificial light, and it's much too cluttered in there to try to do laundry when one cannot see anything. So I went to get the household's light bulbs, which I saw just two days ago. Gone! Vanished! Bah! Having been irritable all night to begin with (not sure why) so that my first reaction to nearly any question or statement from anyone is "Shut up. Just shut up." (a reaction I successfully suppressed, mind you, but still the first thing that came to mind), I was not in the mood to behave rationally as my will was being thwarted. Angrily, I decided that I would get light down in the laundry room, no matter what, so I grabbed a lighter and an old wooden chair...
It's okay, the chair was used to hold open a doorway so that enough light could come from another room for me to see the major piles of clutter; the lighter was used briefly so that I could see in places the outside light did not reach; and I screwed one of my own lightbulbs into the fixture.
Not much else going on today. Tired after yesterday's longish walk (and staying up too late), I walked a total of about half a mile today. Did much less during the daytime than I would have liked because too much of the day had to be spent lying down. Washing machine is taking much too long to go through its paces, probably because of leftover air in the plumbing--otherwise, I'd be trying to sleep by now. At least I did something appropriate for Hobbit Day--I've been barefoot almost all day long. Better than being entirely normal all day, right?

Wow! Impressive. "We can expect great things from you." You must have read the books several times or are just really good at remembering which spell does what. I myself didn't know all the spells until I started writing this test. haha... In any case, if you wanna talk "Harry Potter" with someone, message me. I love meeting other Harry Potter enthusiasts! |
