Gratuitous Lyrics

Not because they're especially good, but because I want to know if anybody else remembers this song.

I`m glad you`re still here on Earth
For a while I didn`t know what to think
Darling
This is what I look like now
Me and the boy of my dreams
It`s a nice photo
He has a girl but I`m going to bump her off soon
Oh I have a big surprise
I will be coming to London
Possibly this summer
I`d love to spend some time with you
I hear things are outrageously priced in London
Is that true?
Anyway I`m still at school here in Minneapolis studying theatre
Oh what fun it is
Everything seems to be the same here
There is no happy medium
No way to go but up
Please send me a postcard
I collect them

If you ever hear me say the words "Oh what fun it is," I am probably thinking of this song. Not that "song" is quite the right word, since nothing's actually sung.

Need sleep. Can't sleep, the grasshoppers will eat me.

I have this album on cassette!! I actually went looking for it on Amazon last week, because I would like to have it on CD, but nope. Not available. But yes!!! I know that song! I love "Painted Moon".. in fact I based a songwriter's project in college on that song.

Yay somebody else remembers the song! I know I heard at least one or two other songs from the album, but "Letter from St. Paul" is the only one I remember now. It's surprising that you can't find the album on CD.

I found a greatest hits that has a couple of the songs. I want the album though, because I just have a taped off copy.
