Yesterday: Landlord came in the morning to continue trying to remove the big honkin' tree limb from the roof (note: by "big honkin' tree limb" I mean something which would, in many neighborhoods, make quite a respectable tree on its own). He said the limb, large though it may be, fell from a shallow enough angle that there didn't seem to be any major damage to the roof, so that's quite a good thing to know.
Since I didn't have cash to get to the evening's friendly gathering on my own,
aekiy was kind enough to pick me up after work so I'd have the chance to hang out with people after all. Hooray! Got to hang out with him for a few hours, got some cat time, then got plenty of people time with bunchs and bunches (or at least a decent-sized bunch) of people later in the evening. It was great to see, hear, and/or give backskritches to folks for a change, and I am grateful for the company, conversation, and chance to lounge around when sitting upright got too tiring. Very good day overall.
Today: Hazy, hot, and headachy. The landlord worked on the roof again and my pain was not eased by the dulcet tones of the chainsaw over my head, so I made my way to the paradisal lands of air conditioning. Unfortunately, simply stretching out at the library without lying down was not enough to help me feel better. As I don't like passing out, I eventually gave up and made my way back home to lie down in my own soft bed. Fortunately, my landlord was gone (probably someplace with air conditioning) during the hottest portion of the day, so there were a couple hours of quiet. Still too hot and headachy, but at least I haven't fainted since getting back home.
Tomorrow: Here's hoping I make it to the doctor appointment. Recent symptom changes have me worried.

In case you're wondering why someone you don't know is posting here, I found your blog through the comments page of one of our mutual friends. It looks like we have several interests in common. I can also empathize with being ill - I have fibromyalgia too and summer heat always makes me feel worse. I hope it's ok if I add you to my friends page - please feel free to do the same.
