In the news: Forged Documents Change History. Interesting to read the comments there.
Here on LJ, this Existential Flame War can be fun.
I felt physically better today, managing to get out of the house and walk a little bit. From one of the neighborhood houses, a woman's voice could be heard yelling at a son or perhaps a family pet. "Stop that right now, L.J.!" I giggled softly.

daisydumont, we have predictions about the new Harry Potter novel. I realize that most people won't believe any of these, but I find this one entirely plausible: "Hermione perfects the iSpell, a handheld device that can hold thousands of charms and curses while keeping the bearer both magically protected and incredibly trendy." In terribly important news also related to Harry Potter, it has been revealed that an author who's criticized Rowling's novels says the new pope wrote letters agreeing with her a couple of years ago. The Pope himself is unavailable for comment. Well, it's all more interesting than all that stuff in the news about Karl Rove, right?
On a personal note: After wishing for so long that I could have dreams that don't involve grocery shopping, last night I had a dream involving faeries and Donald Trump. Even in the dream world, no-one had a good explanation for The Donald's hair.

books at all, but having said it does it mean I will be the
next Pope and this old email dug up? But to you and Vicki and
all my friends who take pleasure in them I can say that I
surely cant claim to be one up on you all there because I
have also confessed to liking the modesty blaise thrillers of
peter o donnel which perhaps not every clergyman has an
enthusaism for.

One of these days I'll have to try the Modesty Blaise books! Right now there are too many other books I'd like to read or re-read, but their time will come one day.

It's a classic, considering he's not upset about AIDS or overpopulation or something else that actually matters.
