Note to new tag-fanatics
I don't actually remember seeing this the first couple times I read the tag FAQ, but it's there now: When you read your tag links, "You will be able to see the last 100 entries from your journal with that tag." Which is to say that those of you who have been putting over 100 items into some category in your memories should definitely not use tags to replace memories.
Of course, it's possible that the LJ folks will get rid of that limit in the future--tags are a brand-new feature, after all, and they probably didn't want to overload anything when first introducing them. Even though I don't plan on using tags for most posts, I kinda do hope they change that restriction soon.

Perhaps in time, but I don't have that time.

Memories are still unlimited, though. Well, the LJ feature is unlimited, in theory; my personal memory seems decidedly finite!
