For those having a rough week

Today I drank some wine in your honor. It was rather more wine than I typically drink in a year, actually, since I was sampling a variety of different wines at the farmer's market. There in the heat of the day, the alcohol was just enough to make me a bit less coordinated and more giggly, which wasn't terrifically helpful since I was tired, uncoordinated, and somewhat giggly before I even saw the offerings from Elk Run. Still, the drinks were good and were drunk in your honor.

Also for you, I petted a 13-day-old pygmy goat. He's a sweet little kid with charmingly soft, floppy ears you'd have liked. That goat was given good friendly attention and it was done in your name.

But those Early Glow strawberries I ate today? Those were all for me. You're just going to have to find your own.

So yes, I found the energy to go to the market today. I sampled some food (and wine), bought some food, and was grateful for a free bunch of radishes. Though some favorite vendors were missing (and were missed), I still had fun chatting with various people about goats, flowers, food, drink, dragons, podcasts, housemates, hens, whatever. And, since I somehow managed to get even less sleep than usual last night, I'm really rather tired right now, but I'm happy.

wine tastings are so much fun! glad you enjoyed that, plus the goat. who can resist a good goat?

I did see people walking past the goat who didn't seem to want to stop and hang out with the goat. None of those people were small children, however.

No more wine till next month. Probably just as well!
