(no subject)

You know those days where you spend forty-five minutes or more rushing around looking for something when you know where you put it but no matter how many times you look for it where it belongs it's clearly not there and you run to look in increasingly less-likely hiding places and then back at the first place and you go through this cycle over and over and over and just as you're about to give up entirely you find it--

yes, it's right in the place where it was supposed to be all along, and it is calmly sitting there, with what is clearly a practiced lack of expression on its lack of a face, almost certainly snickering at you in some mysterious inanimate way?

I might be having one of those days.

Well, just so you don't feel alone in this, I drove to work in 45-degree weather with the air conditioning turned on in my car, with the knob turned all the way to "heat," and wondering why the air coming out of the vents wasn't very warm.

Just one 'a those days I guess.

45 degree weather?? You live in South Florida... right? At least ... I thought you did ...

It was C O L D out there this morning. Okay, maybe not 45 but it wasn't much over 55. Too cold to be outside in a rayon shirt and linen slacks.

And way too cold to be running the Automatic Gas Wasting Device aka "air conditioning" in my car.

You're somewhere around Ft. Lauderdale, aren't you? The low this morning was... yep, if you were driving at 6 or 7 this morning, your temp was 55. Definitely too cold for a native Floridian to turn on the A/C. Poor Forgie!

Of course the current temp here is 58 with a wind speed of 18 mpg (gusting to 24). Good thing I'm not you. :-)

18 mph, I meant. The wind had better be getting more miles per gallon than that.

Which do I need more--sleep or caffeine? I wonder...

Wow didn't realize it was that cold down there! It is currently 68 up here and was much colder this morning .. I was shivering in my bed. Good thing I had fluffy kitties to keep me warm! :-)

Definitely too cold for the AGW (Automatic Gas Waster) :-P

You must be right. Those wily gnomes always love to give me grief.
