Barring some last-minute reprieve, tomorrow's my last day of Medicaid.

Am back to coughing up a storm from the infection that should have been gone by now.

Speaking of storms, they're expecting to have a big load of snow dumped on us tomorrow. Even if my doctor weren't out of town, her office would probably not be open during a snowstorm.

::checks:: Yep, still oogie with chest pain and mucus-filled lungs.

I don't like the thought of monopolizing an ambulance during inclement weather. But I also don't like the thought of never getting any treatment for an infection that refuses to go away on its own.

go tonight, so you have tomorrow to take care of prescriptions and stuff while they are still covered.

Excellent advice I don't think I can make myself follow right now. The part of my brain that says "As soon as supper is sufficiently digested, you will go to sleep" is winning out over the part that wants to breathe without coughing. (Yeah, the coughing interferes with sleep too, but not so much that it doesn't seem worthwhile to try sleeping anyway.)

===I would second Nali's suggestion.

===It not only is a good idea health-wise...it also strengthens your case for a review.

===The ambulancs is also your better bet of getting treatment...as in getting there on your own tends to get you treated as not being as important, in this sort of case.

Oh, there's no way I'd try to get there without an ambulance anyway. Unlike the drivers, I have no way of knowing which hospitals are accepting patients (rather a lot of them aren't).

===I know...It has been getting rather odd in that regard for a while now.

I hope you get this resolved. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Me too. I've arranged to get free samples of yet another medication tomorrow (or whenever the doctor's office is open, if there's too much snow tomorrow), so hopefully that'll help somehow.

Go, gosh-darn-it.

::hugs you::

Harvey is purring for you, too.

I didn't. Went to the pharmacy to pick up old prescriptions instead. Also called doctor, who'll give me free samples whenever I can get to her office again, in the hopes that another med. will help with things. And tried to get hold of social services, but nobody seems to be at the office though the voice mail keeps telling me to please hold.
