Sunday so far

My lungs are deeply unhappy, particularly the left one. Am sure that I should go to a doctor as soon as practical--not an emergency, but I should be feeling at least a tiny bit better by now and the fact that I do not is a problem. But tomorrow is a federal holiday, so the clinic probably has the day off. Yuck.

Enough whining from me. Finding myself in an '80s synthpop mood this weekend, I've been listening to the Thompson Twins fan station on Launchcast (fan stations consist of songs liked by people who rate an artist highly). I keep forgetting how much I love "Doctor Doctor" until I hear it again. Should I be surprised that Thompson Twins fans tend to like Def Leppard songs?

Spent time in bed trying to recuperate. Much napping. Also read a bit of the fifth Harry Potter book, though my brain doesn't want to concentrate that much right now.

New housemates moving in. I'm not used to this much noise.

I thought I might have had something interesting to say, but this turns out to be a pretty boring diary entry. Hit "Update Journal" and think about whether it's worth going down stairs in order to feed self.

You might just call the clinic to see if you can go in, as you don't exaggerate your symptoms, and they sound bad.

I saw Tommy Twins in concert and they were pretty good.

Yeah, I've been trying to call the clinic, but I'm only getting the voice mail. Not sure if that's because their phones are so busy or because nobody's in the office. If I don't reach somebody there this afternoon, I'll call the hospital & ask what they think.

Strangely, the only real rock concert I've ever been to was Survivor in the late '80s (about the time "Is This Love?" was a hit). Well, unless you count the Jesus festivals my family went to in the '70s where we heard people like Andrae Crouch and the guy who did "Raindrops Keep Falling on my Head."

HOney, you're nearly dying and you think you're "whining"?? Whining is when you've just hit your toe and you feel like you're about to die. ;)

Now, do I have to order you to go to the hospital? Don't make me come over there and push you! *stern look*

I am not nearly dying. I'm just, well, really really uncomfortable right now. Really.

I think if I went to the hospital right now, it would only make things worse. I will try to call the doctor, though, if I can get past the voice mail. (Grrrrr... I hate voice mail.)
