I love modern technology
Tonight I can chat with a friend in Spain who is busy studying and watch a different friend in Florida who is busy cleaning his room--all at the same time! Oh, the excitement!
And then get to read bad many puns by several other friends. Ow.
One other wonder of modern technology is the way that it enables modern bureaucracy to lose information about you in several different formats. This being the first day in a while that I've felt well enough to get out and do things, I ended up spending four and a half hours at social services before being sent home with somebody's phone number. While sitting in the lobby trying to find a good position not to pass out in, I wondered what horrible thing I must have done to deserve such a fate. But then I had a few coughing fits and wondered if maybe I my purpose in being there was to infect somebody else who really deserved it.
Anyway, it's been a long day for me. Tired out too much, I'm afraid, to follow that conversation about general and special relativity. Maybe some other time, eh?
One thing to mention, though, is that I did see the film Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone. Or at least I was in the same room while it was playing, though the sound wasn't quite loud enough compared to the noise in social services for me to have more than a vague inkling of a clue what was going on in the movie. One of these days I do hope to read the books.
Need juice. Bureaucracy bad. Tree pretty.
