I was recovering from the flu, but I (and several other people) suspect I now have bronchitis. (Housemate who had the flu before I did is also still sick, though in a different way. Influenza is not kind.) Somehow I'm still feeling better than I was two weeks ago.

There's already a doctor's appointment scheduled for tomorrow. Here's hoping the predicted thunderstorms don't wreck my outing too much.

hasufin was kind enough to offer to drive me to a gathering of friendly folk on Saturday. After hearing me on the phone, he offered to pick up some useful thing for me instead. So he dropped by to give me a carton of orange juice and a hug, both of which were much appreciated.

Today I walked to the nearest supermarket, only drawing a few dirty looks as I coughed. Bought some eggs, chocolate, and another carton of orange juice, because it really has been that kind of weekend.

That 4-CD set of Sergei Prokofiev's symphonies I bought a week ago has been making me happy.

Sleep would be a good thing.

You feel better too! Don't infect any of the nicer customers! Don't infect Eeyore if she's the type who makes everyone miserable when she's sick, though I can see why making her sick might be tempting...

Thank you for your good wishes. Now that I've heard all of Prokofiev's symphonies, I find myself wondering all over again how many rock & pop bands have been influenced by his music.

this was not a day for pleasant weather, but i hope you made the appointment and have some good medicines so you get to feeling better.
