Note to Universe: A Request
Dear Universe,
As you are no doubt aware, October 6 is my birthday. You may be wondering what to give me, out of the whole cosmic grab-bag of possible giftly goodies you have to choose from. In an effort to be of assistance at this time, I have two suggestions for you.
First suggestion: Please give me good health. If for some reason you're not in the mood to give me good health, at least give me good news.
I hope this clears things up! I look forward to seeing your choice of gift-wrap this year, by the way. (You are known for some interesting artistic choices, you know!)
--Sincerely,
A tired and somewhat dispirited hummingwolf

message from the universe
check this out. i've been playing with the abraham processes and ideas for a couple of months now. i think you've read my journal long enough to know that i have been no stranger to depression.
for me,this stuff works! i dont' have the same health issues you do,but the same thing applies. this little exercise couldn't do any harm if you want to try it. after years and years of depression,i have finally found something that is helping me head in the other direction. now when i wake up in the morning i don't think 'oh,no. i'm awake.i have to live through another day and for what?'
it's more like 'well,i hope the stuff i ordered arrives in the mail today, dammit, grumble grumble' which is a hell of a lot better! and some days i even wake up and say 'yay! another day!' i kid you not. i think it's a miracle.
the reason i found this is that i encountered the idea that you can't fix a problem at the level of the problem. in fact, trying to fix stuff doesn't work too well. but, instead you can decide what you want to create in your world, and that is such a different approach.i got that idea from a book called 'path of least resistance' by robert fritz.i dont' agree with everything in that book and don't like some of its jargon, but i am grateful for it because it was a major turning point in my thinking. that led me to find some essays on problem-solving on http://www.kjmaclean.com that set the ball rolling for me.
i know sometimes advice like this comes off as obnoxious, but i honestly know it has helped me,who has felt hopeless for a long time. and it can't hurt to try. feel free to email me at redsparkle@livejournal.com if you want to ask or comment outside of this public space.
i wish you a happy belated birthday!
hugs and roses (a bit nicer than guns and roses!),
love,
diane
Re: message from the universe
And yes, hugs & roses appeal to me more than guns & roses. :-)
