Still not getting enough sleep, so I haven't been able to respond to your posts the way they deserve. I'm still reading, though.

Also, had lonnnnng physical therapy appointment today. I'm fried.

There has been no--I repeat, NO--progress on the housing situation. Argh*5.

I had trouble with LJ user links when I first started too. This page should help with several of the link-y things. http://www.livejournal.com/support/faqbrowse.bml?faqid=75

But here is a quick review: the code for it is (lj user="username") - replace the parentheses with "<" and ">" so < lj user="hummingwolf" > without the extra spaces gives us hummingwolf. For communities, it's < lj comm="community_name" > without the extra spaces.
