Fryday

Well, I did eat fried egg with eggplant for lunch, so surely that counts for something.

Anyway, thanks to a certain lack of energy, it's been a dull week. I've spent much less time online than usual, either because I was napping, because I was reading a book, or because I was attempting to read a book before giving up to take another nap. I'm about halfway through Why We Read What We Read: A Delightfully Opinionated Journey Through Bestselling Books by Lisa Adams and John Heath, a book from 2007 that so far seems to live up to its subtitle more than its title. It's an entertaining multi-book review, full of snark. I approve. And I am exceedingly glad that I never committed myself to reading every single political book to hit the American bestseller lists in 2004.

Tomorrow should (if all goes well, or at least halfway well) be a better day than the rest of the week has been. (Ooh, we have snow in the forecast!) And I have an appointment scheduled for next week which I'm hoping to make it to without too much hassle. We'll see what happens.

If it's just a little bit of snow, I don't have a problem with it. If it's something like last year's storms... well, I guess I should find a way to buy some new boots.

What I'm hoping for is a relatively warm winter. Heating oil is not cheap this year.
