Two (very) different communities of potential interest

First, for those of you who are interested in the works of C.S. Lewis, Charles Williams, J.R.R. Tolkien, and/or other Inklings, the new community coinherence looks like it will be a very good one. Thanks to seraphimsigrist for pointing it out!

On an entirely different and very wrong note, there's a new fandom in town: Kerry/Edwards. No, I'm not talking about anything so mundane as who Americans may or may not vote for in the next election--I'm talking about slash. If the word "slash" means nothing to you in the context of fandom, you don't want to know. No, you really don't want to know. Anyway, the community is johnxjohn and this amusing wrongness was pointed out by polonius (who is, by the way, a veritable fount of interesting links).

On yet another note, I may be going quiet here for a while. It's not that I don't want to keep up, just that I need to use my energy for other things right now. (Also, a time of silence will keep me from writing a long post about theology as fanfic.) Please be good to yourselves! Remember that you become what you obsess about, love is better than hate, freedom is better than slavery, chocolate is better than no chocolate, and the world is full of more wonderful things than you know.

I just had a post about chocolate. Sorry to hear that you're going silent. But I understand. I know I've been remiss about keeping up with your journal in particular.

I'd forgotten that Charles Williams was an Inkling... I remembered that Lewis considered his work important to his development as an author. And I came across a reference to Williams recently that seemed significant, but now I forget in what context... hmmmmm.
