Online, I get virtual hugs all the time. I love 'em! And I've gotten a reputation in certain circles for being very snuggly indeed.

In the physical world? I could count the number of hugs I've gotten in the last 12 months on the fingers of both hands, probably with a finger or two left over.

Need. More. Hugs.



Right then, time to go pay bills and possibly make a phone call or two.

First time kires visited, there was cuddling - and he was surprised by his inability to recall when he'd last been cuddled. If ever.

Ack. I do know exactly when I last got a good snuggling session (Apr. 2003). Not being able to recall *ever* being cuddled is too sad to contemplate!

I think there are some people who people figure don't need cuddling. Kires is aloof unless you really know him.

Me, I assume that everyone needs cuddling as much as I do, unless told differently. And thus my house is a safe space for mass snuggling; people feel very comfortable here. Which makes me happy.

I wish you were getting regular snuggling. :(

i read someplace that a person needs at least four hugs on a daily basis....
i've got a deficit, too, since my spouse was raised in a kind of "hands off" family and i come from a long line of major huggers.
said all that to say this:

The best way to get hugs? Go give some. Hug a housemate, hug your landlord, hug the next social worker you meet.
