Today
Feeling much better today, in spite of not getting enough sleep this morning. I even walked to the grocery store & back (2.5 miles total), which may not have been my best decision ever but seemed like a good idea at the time. At least now I'm tired for good reason, as opposed to the last few days where the least little movement wore me out & I couldn't stay awake for more than two hours at a time. Wish I knew what made today so much better so I could duplicate it in the future.
Gotta love the Internet. Yahoo Mail, spurred on by impending competition from Gmail, dramatically increased their storage for free users, improved service for paying users, and basically streamlined things for everybody--but it's impossible to get in and see what mail you've got now. Some of the blame probably lies with whoever perpetrated the denial-of-service attack they're talking about in the news, but that was supposed to have been over hours ago and Yahoo's problems are ongoing.
So anyway, I have no access to my e-mail, but after splurging at the grocery store, I have veggie burgers, mixed nuts, and orange-strawberry-banana juice. Have spent too much at the grocery store already this month, so I really do need to get back in the habit of eating lots of nice, cheap split pea & barley soup. Still, I'm quite pleased to have veggie burgers for a change.
::kicks Yahoo:: I want my maaaail! ::whine::
Right then. Here's hoping I don't regret today's activities too much tomorrow. Also hoping that I can do a few of the things that desperately need doing (phone calls, cleaning, filing, finding files, more phone calls).
There's a scent of rain in the air and the sound of distant thunder. If we get a good thunderstorm tonight, I could almost call myself happy.

Boo-Hiss! for the grouchy Yahoo! email.
General ::hugs:: for the general crappiness that has tended to abound recently.

The people on WTOP yesterday kept saying "It's like Florida out there!" Not a bad analogy. Let's just hope we don't end up with the humongous bugs they get in Florida.

I'm glad I had a better day too! Not sure how today is going yet-- I've been awake a while, but just got out of bed about 15 minutes ago. So far, so good.

If Yahoo doesn't get attacked again today, maybe I'll have the chance to read it!
