But good things happen
Earlier this week, I got hold of an old friend I hadn't heard from in years. As a matter of fact, I'd had this rather insistent voice in my head last Monday telling me to call her, in spite of the fact that I didn't have a number for her and wasn't at all sure which state she was living in. Still, I located a likely phone number, called her, and had a great time catching up. Need to call her again tomorrow--we need to get together sometime before she moves out of the country. (Yes, it really was good that I called her when I did!)
It's a beautiful day today if you happen to like cool, rainy weather. A June morning with a wind chill factor was a nice change of pace, and my evening walk featured many lovely mud puddles to skirt around. I like it. The cicadas don't seem too happy about it, poor things--they're willing to crawl around a bit, but they won't sing or fly.
Started reading John Gribbin's Schrödinger's Kittens and the Search for Reality yesterday. Mmm... quantum theory is tasty.
Also, I still have brownies.
Also, I still have brownies.

I'm making beef with broc, baby bock choy, and jasmine rice.
Assuming Critter stops crying, otherwise it is left over pot roast.

heh. I get the feeling you're not talking about young Girl Scouts, either. ;-)
we should always listen to the voice in our head that tells us to get in touch.
Even if the voice tells us to get in touch with brownies? Am kidding--I know what you mean. It certainly seems to have been good timing on the part of that very insistent little voice.
Many blessings to you!
