For anyone who wondered

Last week I realized that all this walking to & from the library was wearing me out, so I decided to take a day off, just to rest at home and do nothing at all. Unfortunately, on the night before my scheduled day of rest, I realized that I'd waited much too long as my immune system had decided to take some time off too. So I haven't had the chance to read any LJs in well over a week thanks to extreme exhaustion. But for the bronchitis, my doctor's given me some antibiotics and Robitussin with codeine. Ah, lovely, lovely codeine.

Anyway, please forgive me for having absolutely no idea what's going on in your lives, okay? Here's hoping that all the problems keeping me away from here will be resolved soon.

Hi!!! :)))
*huggles*

Great to see you alive! :)
Me, I've had a cold from hell, fell down the stairs and bruised my legs, have to get a bone marrow test again...BUT I've bought and paid my dog!! *bounces*

SO all in all I'm really happy now. :))

Aw, nothing to apologize for. You have to deal with your life before you worry about ours. I'd been wondering how you were doing lately, thanks for letting us know what's up. *hugs* Feel better soon.

Would you like another update? Hmm. My art exhibit is still going on, although I haven't been to see it since the opening. I've been sick but not quite laid up. I draw a little, write a little; both the comic book and the Saga are progressing slowly. I spend a lot of time with the cat. I volunteered at the local animal shelter but I haven't started yet.

Okay, that's me! See? You don't have to bust your butt to keep up. And you can call me if you ever feel like it. If you can get through, that is.

Eek

I miss you, HW! ::huggles::

Things here are ok: Harvey and Sammie are happy and snuggly as usual. I got poked 11 times by an over-medicated phlebotomist the other day, in the never-ending quest to figure out why my metabolism is so uncooperative. Also, after 7 years of living here, I finally found out where the circuit breakers are.

::huggles and snuggles::

what does codeine feel like? i mean, how does it make you feel exactly?

Yes, I believe they do.

For me, the great thing about Robitussin with codeine was that codeine's a much more effective cough suppressant than you can get over the counter. It also provided some pain relief and, I suspect, helped protect me from some of the usual gastrointestinal distress antibiotics can produce (though I should have eaten more yogurt anyway). Other than all that, I don't know what effects the drug might have produced in me--I was tired and muzzy-headed from fighting infection anyway, so if codeine had any cognitive effects, they went unnoticed.

Just stopping by and commenting on your most recent post because it's there. Heard the new PC arrived. Wanted to wish you luck quasi-retrospectively in getting it set up, and of course to let you know I've joined the LJ herd.
