Some stuff for the record

Began taking Neurontin for pain this week. I'm not sure yet how helpful it is: I felt some relief the first day I took it, but the way my pain had been fluctuating, it's hard to tell if that was due to the drug or some other factor I don't know about. In any event, the drug hasn't produced any nasty side effects yet, so that's of the good.

I'm rich! Okay, not really. But I did get my check for the CD MAP Antitrust Litigation in the mail today. Thirteen dollars and eighty-six cents, baby! Also got a gift card from the wonderful [livejournal.com profile] windsparrow, so I am feeling well and truly blessed.

Been reading more books in the time I've been computerless. For some reason (or combination of reasons), I've been compelled to read more about the Holocaust. Not the kind of reading matter that makes you look kindly on humanity, so let me just remind myself and everybody else that I've got the bestest friends ever.

Also, I have plenty of brownie mix. Tonight I make brownies.

Glad that things appear to be looking up for you. And brownies never hurt!

i hope you have more luck with meds of that sort than i do. they have tried me on a few, but you know that tiny section on the pharmacy info that says "one person out of three bazillion will suffer these side effects.."? yeah. that's me.

i have always had an interest of sorts about the Holocaust. not suprprising, since it was one of my mum's hobbies, too. i was about 11 or 12 when i ran out of things to read and wandered into her room and she handed me "Inside the Third Reich", "Rise and Fall of the Third Reich" and "Mein Kampf".
it's been a compulsion ever since.

I hope the meds work well for you. What books are you reading?

Books are good. You never get error messages or have to reboot.

Hope you pain continues in the Less column.
