It Snowed!
Looks like we got about an inch of white stuff overnight. It's all been turned to slush now, with steady rain falling from grey skies. There was a special beauty this morning before full daylight with golden Christmas lights on a house down the street glowing in the blue-grey gloom. The meteorologists expect more snow tonight and tomorrow, with totals between three and six inches for the weekend. A squirrel or group of squirrels seems to be trying to get warm by nesting in a gutter above my room. The landlord should probably be notified before the critter gets destructive, but I kinda like having fuzzy neighbors again.
No news on the benefits front, though I'm hoping to hear something today in response to more phone calls yesterday. Though the symptoms that have been disturbing me aren't as noticeable at the moment, it would be best if I could get those medical tests done this month. And I would dearly love to go to the grocery store and load up on fresh fruits and vegetables now, as well as yogurt or cheese that doesn't come from a box of Kraft Macaroni & Cheese.
I've been very boring lately. My one big accomplishment this week (aside from making lots & lots of phone calls, which impresses me even if it impresses no-one else) was figuring out something I've been doing wrong with POV-Ray kaleidoscope animations for the last few years. It's one of those mistakes that's ridiculously obvious in retrospect, but somehow never occurred to me in all the times I've played with randomly-placed virtual objects moving randomly between virtual mirrors. Anyway, my newest icon is yet another animation (I hope to break my addiction to animated icons soon) featuring six-pointed kaleidoscopic images in cool shades of near-white and blue, some of which images almost resemble snowflakes. If anyone would like this icon, please feel free to steal it--it's very easy for me to make new six-pointed cool kaleidoscopes, so I expect to replace this icon several times throughout the winter.

And yay for phone calls, too. I'm proud of you for getting through this and sticking to it. I hope that things work out really soon.
As for an addiction to doing cool artistic things... shush. It's quite cool. :)

Thank you! I'm hoping to get something straightened out next week, though things are still confusing me this week. Ah well, a weekend where I don't have to deal with bureaucracy sounds really good about now.
And the addiction I'm hoping to break is the addiction to animated icons, not artistic things in general. Surely I can come up with cool still images that I don't feel compelled to animate? Maybe? Heh. Glad you think it's cool, anyway.

You did good and you deserve to rest now. :)
Hope you get money! *hugs*
