Patience is a virtue.

Been having some trouble letting words out lately. It's not that the words aren't there, this time. There are plenty of words massing together waiting to be used. Mostly, they're simply staying in the brain, refusing to be released into the wilds. So I'm collecting more input in the hopes that there'll be some meaningful output eventually. (Currently checked out from the library: six books, five DVDs, and a CD.)

In the meantime, my broken chair has finally pushed me to the limits of my patience. I don't ordinarily find myself yelling "DIE! DIE! DIE!" at inanimate objects, but when I can't sit down without tipping over, there's only so much I can take. Am borrowing a chair from the living room for the moment, but it's far from ideal and I may go back to trying to get the other chair to behave itself for more than five fricking minutes at a time. Does anyone know much chairs cost at thrift stores nowadays?

[Edit: The fact that I woke up at about 3:00 this morning and couldn't get back to sleep until sometime after 6:15, then woke up again around 7:00 is undoubtedly influencing my mood as well. Things haven't really been going all that badly lately; I'm just having one of Those Days.]

I've found that there are three things one shouldn't chintz on: shoes, beds, and chairs. You're going to spend a lot of time in all three, and how comfortable they are has a huge effect on your overall health.

That being said, good chairs aren't cheap. But, if you'd like, I can come up some weekend and we could possibly go thrifting for a chair for you.

Heh. You would, I think, be horrified by both the bed and the chair I've been using. While I won't go so far as to say that anything would be an improvement over what I have now (I have too much experience with shoes to say such a silly thing as that), I will say that finding something better than what I have should not be difficult. I hope.

I'd appreciate some help thrifting for a chair! Early in the month would be best, since that's when I get paid & I can plan the rest of the month's budget afterwards.
