Four phone calls!

Okay, two of the calls were to the same person because she was busy the first time. Still, managed to work around the panic problem enough to make four phone calls today!

It would've been good if I'd managed to make one more call before the end of the business day, but that's not happening since I'm about to collapse now. Here's hoping that I can do at least this well on Monday. Well, I'd prefer to do better on Monday because, as phobias go, phone fear seems pretty silly even to me.

I normally don't have phone fear, at least not like this. I mean, I'm used to being a little bit anxious if I call a new person for the first time, or annoyed when I have to deal with voice mail; but I'm not used to my heart pounding and my stomach clenching when I simply think about picking up the phone. And this is the second (maybe third?) time this year this has happened to me this severely, so it's weird for me to deal with. But whether it's a new fear or an old fear, it sucks.
