hummingwolf: squiggly symbol floating over rippling water (8 months)

(no subject)

Have been listening as a self-consciously artsy type talks about acquaintances who have given up their jobs to live off the land in the most ecologically non-damaging ways they can manage.

It deeply amuses me to see someone with an "alternative" "lifestyle" trying to deal after they've been confronted by someone living an actual alternative lifestyle.

Oh, shit, that's hilarious.

That'll teach him/her to have a principle!

Principle? Who said anything about principle? No, the artist graces our world with their presence in order to shake us out of our feeble, conventional notions of things. The couple out living off the land are just weird.

Hee. Wanna-be hippies are funny.

Yes, they are. The artist wasn't really a wanna-be hippie so much as just someone who wants to be Avant-Garde, though. It's still funny, though.

Alternativer-than-thou!

That's... pretty twisted. Ha. A good absurdity of the day.

Uh oh... what did the cat just destroy? Excuse me a minute.

Now I'm left wanting to know what the cat destroyed...

I never figured it out. I'm guessing she fell off the kitchen windowsill.
