hummingwolf: Drawing of a creature that is part-wolf, part-hummingbird. (Hummingwolf by Dandelion)

If you don't follow [livejournal.com profile] news...

and you hate the new site scheme (called "XColibur"), go here to change to either the old scheme ("Dystopia") or a text-only version. But you might need to wait for the page to load, as there seem to be rather a lot of people eager to change.

Me, I like the new look, but Dystopia is the easiest version to navigate given that I don't have a working mouse half the time.

heh, I noticed the change just before you did.

Thanks for the official place to look.

My post was delayed because I had to change back to a usable scheme first!

Gah. I wish my mouse & computer would communicate better, really I do.

You keep blaming the mouse. I think that it is time you took responsibility, and stop persecuting innocent rodents.

I have PETA on speed dial, don't make me call out a brain dead super model to come over and smoke and look vaguely annoyed at you.

No, I blame the computer, not the mouse.

Whatta you gonna do now, huh? Call up PETC and have them send a geek to come over and drink Mountain Dew? Go right ahead! I bet the geek'd get things working in no time; I'm just too klutzy to fix this myself without knocking the modem offline.

My designated Monutain Dew geek [livejournal.com profile] penguinboi is alas, stuck in stage 2 of Linux transition.

I'll have him get back to you.

I like the new scheme myself...

It is very pretty, but it requires a mouse, dang it.

I don't like it mainly because of the dropdowny menus, I like seeing everything out in the open so I can click on it easily (or tab through options if I don't feel like using the mouse)

stupid mice, always out to get you...

Yes, apparently people complained about "the ugly sidebar." I agree the sidebar on Dystopia isn't pretty, but it works. I like things that work, but maybe I'm just weird that way.

I like the new look, too. But the navigation links are now in an even lighter blue background with white letters, and on my small screen with primitive res. that's not fun. Also, I have noticed that when I scroll back up through this page, all the text disappears. It's not too bad, because it reappears when I get back to the top and scroll down. But still, it's not good.

Oh, I would so change back to the old style or the text style if I were you. Wait, I changed back already even though I'm only me! Yeah, anyway, it's too bad the style doesn't work so well for everybody.

I decided to go with the text format for now. It loads faster.

Left them some feedback too, letting them know that the new skin was nice to look at, but since it didn't work well for me, I really appreciated having the option to change it.
