Exciting Monday
Monday, November 8th, 2010 11:51 pmWell, the subject line is half true: It has been a Monday! And this Monday was more exciting than the Sunday before it because I managed to get out of the house. Not only did I leave the house, but I walked a little over three miles--which was only about twice as far as I should have walked! Yes, I am tired after walking so much while still a bit sick (and with the beginnings of the regularly scheduled migraine); but it was a lovely autumn day, not too cool or too warm, with drifts of dry leaves underfoot.
For part of the day, I could only focus on one detail at a time rather than seeing a whole--think of someone who can't see the forest for the trees, then think of someone who can't see a tree for the leaves. On the plus side, the leaves still on the trees were mostly brightly colored and well worth noticing.
Later in the day, was able to concentrate on things long enough to read a bit, then watch a National Geographic video about North Korea. Supper was exactly what I needed tonight: egg, garlic, onion, and an apple. Life could be worse.
I haven't read anyone's entries on Dw or LJ today; will try to catch up tomorrow. Here's hoping that tomorrow the migraine will be kind and I'll be able to write something interesting. Oh, and if I'm not mistaken, I've already posted more this November than I posted in any previous month this year.
Dear Diary: I will try to say something of substance tomorrow. Really I will.
