Monday, December 31st, 2007 12:18 amA while back (after his office got their final payment), the lawyer who represented me during my Social Security ordeal mailed me all the files pertaining to the case. Tonight I got the urge to flip through the pages to relive the ridiculousness. It's hard to decide who was more oblivious to what I actually said during that whole process--the bureaucrats or certain folks in the medical profession. Interestingly, the psychiatrist the Social Security Administration sent me to was one of the few who listened and got the facts right. Too bad the SSA's summary of her report was made up of misinterpretations.
I am so glad I survived those long years. Now I can almost laugh about it. Almost. Maybe I'll be laughing if & when I get approved for food stamps, eh? Couldn't have made it through without certain wonderful people helping me along the way. To all who helped support me, in so many different ways: I love you still.
