Oh Body, whatever will I do with you?
Tuesday, November 13th, 2007 03:48 pmWas scheduled for an appointment with an ophthalmologist today. Realized that I was dreading the thought of those dilating eyedrops and that the dread was increasing as time for the appointment grew near. Wondered why I would suddenly be near-phobic about something I had never had a major problem with before.
Noticed I had a growing migraine. Yeah, migraine is a good reason to want to avoid things that leave your eyes unable to block out any light. So, I canceled today's appointment and rescheduled for a time of month when I will (hopefully) be less likely to have a nasty headache developing.
In other hormonally-related news, ( Girly TMI )
When I called to change the appointment, the person doing the rescheduling thought at first that my name was "Jewel." I was amused. Jewels are pretty and shiny, of course. But I have mixed feelings about "Jewel" as a name. One the one hand, there's a pop singer whose music has always irritated the heck out of me. On the other hand, there's an actress who appeared in Firefly, that well-loved but short-lived TV show. Maybe I'll just stick with, y'know, one of the other myriad names I've been given over the years.
In other news: The sight of brightly-colored trees contrasted with a charcoal grey sky reminds one that autumn really can be a beautiful time of year.
