(no subject)

There isn't anything that gets your adrenaline flowing quite like a dispute with a collections agency. Fortunately, my managed care organization has more experience dealing with unreasonable doctors' offices (and their collections agencies) than I have, so I'm leaving the rest of this stuff to them. Actually, I shouldn't have had to get involved in the first place--the fact that they sent this bill to a Medicaid recipient is apparently illegal. Who knew? Even if the doctors' office and the collections agency both insisted they didn't wanna play with my insurance company anymore, they're going to have to if they want to be paid at all.

In other news: Rain is wet. Wet is good. Though I do not currently have a pair of water-resistant shoes to wear, I'm willing to deal with soggy feet for a while if that's the price that must be paid to enjoy this wonderful change in the weather.

Public Service Announcement

For those interested in such things, haikujaguar plans to do a one card draw this afternoon sometime between 1:30 and 4 PM Eastern Time (she said Eastern Standard Time, but I suspect she forgot we're still in Daylight Savings Time). Depending which time she meant, it would be either 4 or 5 hours behind Universal Time.

In the last one card draw, she said to me:

The Universe thinks you have challenges pending, and hopes you're girding yourself for the Dragons in your future! You can see that things are changing... and that entails some scary stuff heading your way, since change is rarely easy (even nice change).

Don't be afraid of these challenges. Just think of the bard's tales you'll have when you're done besting them. :D

Since I rather like dragons, I have no problem with this one.
