Brief semi-thoughts
Thursday, May 11th, 2006 12:34 amNot much to say recently. The migraine that lasted most of a week had something to do with this, of course, but even on better days, I just haven't felt the urge to write stuff out. But it seems I should be updating more often than I have been, so here are some scattered thought-like things:
Migraine is gone for now. Hooray!
I still hate bureaucracy.
It's great to have housemates who are willing to have bizarre conversations. One of the newer ones may in fact be incapable of having a normal conversation, which is all right by me.
It is now possible to do laundry here again. I look forward to having clean sheets on my bed tomorrow!
I think I want to try to relearn calculus. Yes, I scare myself too. This urge may not last long, and it's going to have to wait till I've reacquainted myself with basic trigonometry, but the urge is there anyway.
This afternoon I watched a raccoon trying to walk on the neighbor's fence (the fenceposts are not wide, so this was not the raccoon's most graceful moment), then climbing all over the tree nearest the window where I was. He investigated every major limb of a fairly large tree, looking to see if any of them went anywhere interesting. Apparently there was nothing around to keep his attention, so he disappeared.
Midnight might be the classic time for a snack, but it seems like a bad time to eat dinner. Dinner tonight was oatmeal with banana, which should be filling yet leaves me hungry.
When the rates for electricity go up this summer, there will be much wailing and gnashing of teeth. Thirty-eight percent increase here.
Found in a clearance section at a Target store: Mauna Loa macadamia kona coffee chocolate bar. Definitely worth the little bit of change I paid for it.
Going to sleep hungry is easier than going to sleep full, so I think I'll brush my teeth and go to bed now. Good night, everyone!
