Took some time on Tuesday to walk in the cold rain, just so I could commune with some trees. It seemed to help.
Wednesday: More tree time, much less rain. Spent too much of the day trying to remember how to do long division (hooray for household bills and lost calculators). Went out to be with people. Enjoyed the company muchly. Eventually the cats calmed down enough for me to pet them a bit, though I must admit the early rain of cats was amusing. Some people are also very fun to give back & head skritches to, so there was a decent amount of that as well. Got home late (yay!). Went to sleep later.
Woke up after too little sleep to find that one of the blisters on my fingers had turned into a blood blister. Y'know, it's a very good thing that blister didn't decide to burst while somebody was getting skritched or petted. Anyway, went to bank, visited different trees, realized I was really very tired indeed, made quick trip to grocery store, walked home all the while wondering if I'd finish the hike. Very much wanted to eat when I got here, but was on the verge of collapsing. So I made the sensible choice and ate a very simple meal in bed.
There was a nap. The nap was very nice, but not quite enough. I do believe I'll be getting myself to bed earlier than usual tonight. I also believe it's time to hit the bottle of the prescription-strength ibuprofen.
Have a good night and a good day, all!
