And the word of the day is "Ouch"
Wednesday, October 19th, 2005 01:49 pmSo, walked an amazing seven miles two days ago, walked something over two miles yesterday, and had no problems walking that couldn't be explained by my ill-fitting shoes. But sitting for any length of time causes me some truly nasty pain in various affected muscles, and standing makes me feel like all my blood is being used for the sole purpose of making my legs swell up and hurt like the dickens.
Back when I was still trying to find paying work, I used to say to people that what I really needed was a job where I could be paid to walk at 4 miles per hour while spelling a series of words perfectly. People thought I was joking.
Ouchie.
On the plus side, I finally got around to making my autumnal glop last night. For those who do not know about my autumnal glop, the ingredients are:
canned pumpkin
coconut milk
polska kielbasa
Granny Smith apples
onions
red cherry peppers (or other hot red pepper)
If you think that sounds like the makings of a good meal, you can probably figure out how to put them together yourself (I doubt I've ever used the same proportions twice, anyway). Good stuff.
Also on the good side is this gorgeous fall weather--sunny, breezy, with cool nights and warm days. It's supposed to get a bit cooler after today, but I think I can deal with that.
Now it's time to take more ibuprofen, and then take either a nap or a walk.
