Important news!
Sunday, July 17th, 2005 04:01 pmCatholics are allowed to read Harry Potter! Vatican cultural advisors claim that the books are not theological works, but simply children's literature. Zillions of Pottermaniacs over the age of consent would probably complain about the "children's literature" bit, but they're too busy rereading Half Blood Prince to be bothered.
In related news, some Christian writers now think that Harry may promote the Gospel.
In personal news, I still haven't signed up for the HP waiting list at the local library, which probably means I'll be reading the sixth book about halfway into 2006.
In unrelated news, pluots are tasty. Well, one presumes that pluots are unrelated to Harry Potter, though one never knows.
