(no subject)

My visual disturbances include some which closely resemble the "snow" you see when an old TV set isn't quite tuned in to a channel. The tinnitus I have is something like the white noise you hear between stations on a radio. Because of this, the elder of my brothers has said that maybe I need to figure out how to adjust my antenna, maybe buy some new rabbit ears since I seem to be caught between stations. He was joking.

Today, the psychotherapist said something which pretty much amounted to the same thing. She was serious.

So, maybe I need a new antenna for my brain (or soul). Or a spiffy cable connection or something. [Insert comments about channels and attunements here. You know you want to.]


In related news, I seem to be surrounded by people who are afraid I will think they are flaky. One of these days somebody ought to bring all you nuts and flakes together and call you breakfast cereal.

Still sick, though not coughing quite so much. Never left the house yesterday; not sure if I left the day before or not. Did talk on the phone to my doctor (out of town for a conference), who sent some new prescriptions to her office which I picked up after seeing the new psychologist.

Found out that someone from social services told someone else yet another story about why the cash assistance was stopped last year. At this point I'm wondering what the official reason might be, since the one I was given at the time was supposedly unimportant after all that rigmarole in January.

The moon tonight began as a paper cut-out, a perfect yellow circle pasted onto the blue sky. Then a haze gathered around the moon and it set the sky on fire. I'm not sure what's happening now. I came inside and all the windows were closed and the moon isn't peeking through any of the cracks.
