Monday, January 10th, 2005 02:00 pmThis infection may leave now. Really, it has my permission. It may go at any moment--preferably this moment. There is no need for it to stay around, clogging up my lungs, tickling my throat, hurting my ear, waking me up sweating at 3 in the morning, waking me up again sometime after 6, giving me chills in the middle of the day, sapping my energy, and making it difficult to breathe. It has done enough of that for this year and may freely go away secure in the knowledge that its mission is accomplished.
Argh. I should be coughing more to get the gunk out, but coughing requires energy. Had to renew a library book I'm finished with because renewal can be done online while returns require me to leave the house. I have things to do--outside, in public, hopefully without falling down. There are important math-type things I need to do (not things like using math while playing with computer graphics, but actual "who-owes-how-much-money" math which really really needs to be done). And here I sit sweating, shivering, and whining in my online journal.
On the plus side, I do have this computer and you all are free to read or scroll past as you wish. When I had last year's bronchitis, my computer was nonfunctional and I was largely out of contact aside from a few messages left on
unwilly's answering machine which I spoke in Phlegmish after English failed me. So, you know, there is a plus here.
Why are my eyelids sweating?
