Exploding the Self-Esteem Myth

Enough is Enough!

Enough is enough! I: Multiple people on my flist had to take loved ones to the hospital this past weekend. As this trend clearly should be discouraged, the rest of you must make it plain to your husbands, wives, parents, grandparents, children, and small- to mid-sized animals that you will not tolerate such malarkey in your own extended family and that they are expressly forbidden to become ill until at least January 2, 2005.

Enough is enough! II: I much prefer winter to summer, but I do live in an old house whose insulation leaves something to be desired. When, on the last official day of autumn in an almost-southern state, one can measure a 10 Fahrenheit degree difference between the temperature in the middle of the room and the temperature by the windows a few feet away, it is obvious that the wind chill really is a bit unseemly.

(For the curious: After taking the long walk on Saturday, I spent Sunday inside the house. Today I went for the usual 2.5 mile walk. Eventually, feeling returned to my lower legs.)

Enough is enough! III: Those of you who do Launchcast may have noticed a few changes to the site today. But have you checked out the sheer number of new genres you can rate now? You now have the chance to give top priority to J-Pop, Funky Breaks, or Klezmer. Insanity! Though this is the kind of insanity I like, so I'm not actually complaining here.

Enough is enough! IV: Somebody please smash the bureaucracy. After that's done, let's use the broken pieces for kindling.
