hummingwolf: Drawing of a creature that is part-wolf, part-hummingbird. (Hummingwolf by Dandelion)
Ever have one of those days where it seems like one half of your brain has chosen to be stupid and the other half is reduced to looking on in disbelief? Days where the more intelligent half is in control and the moronic half is providing color commentary can be amusing--going about your necessary business can be much more fun if part of your mind is providing a bit of clueless surrealism. But when the part of your mind which has difficulty focusing on reality is the part that's making the decisions for the day, it can be a bit more frustrating. Especially when that's a day you're forced to have actual face-to-face conversations with three human beings before noon.

In spite of everything my wayward brain was doing, one of the conversations did give me some information that should be food for thought when I've next got the luxury of thinking. Plus several of the folks on my list here have given suggestions I'll be following up on later--thanks to all of you! If you have any more suggestions, please tell me. In the meantime, I'm trying to decide whether I should be making phone calls today or save them for tomorrow in the hopes that a more intelligent bit of me will be the one using the mouth. I've got the feeling I ought to make at least one call today, since putting things off till tomorrow increases the chance of me deciding tomorrow that I'll put them off till Monday ('cos Friday's rarely the best day to call anybody).

There's more to say, but I think I've just talked myself into getting offline and attempting another conversation. Either that, or I'm about to take a nap.
