Disjointed Update
Friday, February 13th, 2004 04:22 pm(See,
daisydumont? I posted after all!)
Ordinarily, I have no problem with Friday the 13th--why would anyone object to a Friday? But this time, since I finally got the Medicaid coverage back, I was going to spend a little while on the phone attempting to make various appointments, such as a much-needed dental visit. Ha ha! Silly me, I apparently haven't had dental coverage since February 2. A nice helpful woman at an 800 number I was advised to call did give me the phone numbers of a couple of volunteer dental clinics who're taking adult patients on a sliding fee scale, which'd be great if I had any money to pay. Oh, and the only clinic taking adults in my county is in a "city" which, according to my area atlas, is officially Out In the Middle of Nowhere, so here's hoping the closer clinics in the neighboring county won't be limiting their services to county residents once I do have money (if that ever happens). From what I heard of helpful lady's coworkers' conversations, I'm not the only one upset by the coverage change.
In other news, my computer still doesn't do anything. Hooray for public libraries!
My lawyer's office called this week letting me know that a hearing's been set up for my Social Security case, so we've got two months to get things ready for that. Here's hoping they see fit to let me have some money, because there is no Plan B.
I think somebody's moving out of the house. Our bathroom's window curtains are missing. I wonder if the kids at the school across the alley got to enjoy a good view before the window steamed up?
On the plus side, I have fresh brownies.
It's a beautiful, sunny day outside and I have nothing to say.
