Monday, August 25th, 2003 12:08 pmThe sad thing isn't that I have nothing to say, it's that I'm still too sleep-deprived to put it into any coherent form. With luck, that problem will get better once I've got painkillers to help me sleep (and sit in this chair for more than a few minutes at a time so I can write and possibly download the ISP e-mail which has surely reached truly frightening dimensions of Taiwanese spam by now) and Ritalin to help me wake up, but I'll not be able to take those until Wednesday at the earliest. Ah well, what I had to say would probably have offended half the people reading anyway.
On the plus side, I get presents! Am now listening to a copy of Colin Hay's Peaks & Valleys sent me by Tex of Whackingday. (Don't mind the blog, Tex really is very cuddly.)
Oh, also on the good side: There's a flock of painted birds I keep running across on my wanderings. I watched some of the artists at work a few weeks ago and wondered where the birds would end up. Now it is apparent that the answer is: Everywhere. Well, in lots of public places around the county anyway.
Also spiffy is that the big orange-and-white striped circus tent has reappeared in the woods behind the house. No neighborhood is complete without its very own hauntedhouse circus tent.
