Summary

Yesterday:

Checked out books from library. The computer said I owed 15 cents in fines, but the librarian forgave the amount. Yay! Not that 15 cents would leave me noticeably more poverty-stricken, but I did return those books on time.

Nearly got run over by an SUV. Cared less about the near-hit than I should have.

Walked about 1 mile total.

Got a phone call from my brother, who was worried since he hadn't heard from me in so long (I have got to check my ISP e-mail again one of these days, but all the Taiwanese spam skeers me). This was a genuinely good conversation for a change. I'm pretty much amazed.

Surfed LJ and chatted a while. After running across a list of some long-distance phone numbers,

I called snowmerlin for the first time ever! She's nifty, though of course many of us already knew that.

Today:

Considered checking my ISP e-mail account. Chickened out.

Talked to new incoming housemate plus potential housemate and friend of current housemate. This was pretty much my socialization for the day. Here's hoping I won't need to be a hermit again tomorrow.

Walked about 3.5 miles total, which almost makes up for the chocolate-covered cheesecake.
