Thursday, July 3rd, 2003 09:00 pmThe total rainfall this year has been far more than usual. Many times there have been record levels of rain flowing over the land, turning sidewalks into rivers and roads into lakes for a while. For a while we forgot the sun, could only imagine a liquid world in shades of grey, could only dream of water. The ground is saturated. For every new storm we have flood watches and warnings. It rained yesterday. It rained today. The rain goes on and on.
So why in the name of all that is green and growing were the people across the street watering their lawn today?!
In other news, the evening cloud textures made me a danger to myself and others. Good thing I'm a pedestrian and all my collisions are at 4 mph or less. The first time I managed to take my eyes off the sunset was when I passed by some thistles covered in fuzzy bees. I like bees as long as they're not drunk. (Many bees are mean drunks.)
In other other news, I now have a Cadbury Royal Dark chocolate bar.
