Mini update

hummingwolf: Drawing of a creature that is part-wolf, part-hummingbird. (Hummingwolf by Dandelion)
Yesterday I: woke up crying, read a little bit, listened to news and religious broadcasts on the radio, was startled to discover my mood didn't remain crappy all day, said some sensible things (for a change) in e-mails and in comments to other people, socialized a bit with housemates, and walked about three miles total.

Today I: have answered a mailing list survey, have been impressed by all the thoughtful and interesting things people have to say on LJ, am not yet up to the challenge of being truly coherent, am trying to resist joining in [livejournal.com profile] anoisblue's shower meme (because I'm not good at asking interesting questions that aren't too nosy), and really really need to make chocolate chip cookies.

Me in e-mail this morning:

> A question for everyone except Buddy: have you
> ever been to Texas?

Yep. One year my mother had a machine embroidery convention to go to in New Orleans. While she was busy at some seminar or other, Dad and I drove in the motor home to some very eastern part of Texas just so we could say we'd been there. We stopped, and I wish I could remember why, at the house of a guy who'd converted nearly his entire home except the kitchen into a greenhouse. Dad, being the plant lover that he was, was quite jealous, but we decided Mom would never let him do that to our house.

> Who's glasses did Homer find in the toilet?

His own. At this point he realized that he was not a blind poet after all, but a nearsighted plumber with the fleet of Greece sailing in his bathtub.

> Colin Farrel or Vin Diesel?

Colon Diesel, the bioengineered fuel tank.
