Walked into the (nonpaying) job today and was told my hair looked great & asked if I'd gotten a haircut. I was a bit baffled since (A) I haven't had a haircut since June and (B) I'd just been walking out in the wind and hadn't had a chance to comb my hair yet. Odd.
Someone else told me today that I looked very feminine & cuddly. Unfortunately, the person who told me this really isn't my type (i.e., she's female). Rats.
Offered a job--the kind that pays real money and everything. Yay! Unfortunately, it's in a place with really crappy bus service, meaning it'd take me two hours to get there--each way. Hours weren't ideal either, but it's the 4 hour commuting time that kills it. It just wouldn't be physically possible for me to do that commute and work all in the same day. Rats again.
Oh, and trying to do some of the work at the nonpaying job was a bit tricky. The student database was recently put on the network, meaning that people other than the director of education now have access to it. I discovered that some modifications I made last month have been removed, along with associated data; that I was not listed as a graduate (I changed that oversight in a hurry); and that one of my fellow students now has the last name of PC Specialist. Okay, that last bit was amusing to me.
Got reassurance that I will in fact be able to pay the rent, so big hooray!!! there.
Still headachy, but I'll get over it. Well, I could die first, but that doesn't seem too likely since it's never happened before.
