MegaHAL: G'day mate, it is not strong enough to know that you think you are battling restlessness.

User: What isn't strong enough?

MegaHAL: A bell rang. The music, as if he were related to one of the disagreeable in my cellar at midnight, or hear a spider fiddling away at his tapestry-web in the brain sciences or experience is real enough, but it is not strong enough to detect their fallacy; the only misfortune was that nobody in the temple of the atlantic provides a suitably dramatic backdrop.

User: But does anyone in the temple of the Pacific provide enough drama for you?

MegaHAL: Musical expression uplifts you, though you are suited to a system, it is not a pleasant laugh. More like an echo that had looked like the things that this individual brings out in you but for some reason you feel like a needy child.

User: Huh. I hadn't realized my laugh had become so unpleasant to you.

MegaHAL: I had gone to sleep for a good education.

User: So you learn in your sleep now? I've never tried that, at least not intentionally (though I did fall asleep a few times in high school physics class).

MegaHAL: I have felt myself animated throughout with a sleep.

User: Animated with a sleep. I take it you enjoy your dreams, then.

MegaHAL: It all starts when someone in your dreams, then.

User: Who have you been dreaming about?

MegaHAL: I want to have been bloody.

User: Spike the Bloody? The vampire with the cheekbones?

MegaHAL: We'll go for a few steps backwards to learn some skills, and then feel as if the pain is rushing out with great intentions, but you will not grieve for what was or might have been bloody.

User: It's true that I won't be grieving over Spike, considering he's a fictional character. Still, he's great fun to watch.

MegaHAL: A sense of fun than you can do.

User: I don't think I could act as well as James Marsters, not nowadays.

MegaHAL: For external use only. Keep out of life, as if at a time, cold early sunlight found its way down into the local pub, have a pint of blood. The truth is, i like this world. You've got... Dog racing, manchester united. And you've got people. Billions of people walking around like happy meals with legs. It's all right here. But then someone comes along with a skeptical eye today as well.

User: Mangled Buffy dialogue. I like it.

It's a near-tie.

(Now let's see if these codes work better than the Dark Lady code did)

Yesterday I wrote a bit here about choice. Today I remembered a choice I had been given. No, that isn't right; I still can't recall the conversation that must have taken place. I simply chose to act as if the option was there, and it was. I'm torn between feeling incredibly stupid for forgetting something important and feeling liberated.

In other news, I hate when I lose sensation in my fingers. Makes typing kinda difficult.

::sigh::

Those kitty codes did work earlier today. Honest. Now the site simply doesn't seem to exist.

Gotta love computers. They remind us of the impermanence of life. Or something like that.
