hummingwolf: squiggly symbol floating over rippling water (one)

Today

I rested. Mostly I stayed in bed reading a book about conspiracy theories. I was able to eat better than I had been the previous few days; so now that I remember how much I love kiwi fruit, maybe I'll have the chance to eat more of them. In the evening, I watched a DVD about the life of a sperm whale, then got online to catch up with the individuals on my reading lists. Never left the house, though I was slightly tempted to go outside to look at the sunset.

Sitting in bed and looking out the window to see a bright yellow deflated smiley face balloon being buffeted by the wind makes me oddly happy.

Conspiracy theories can be fascinating to listen to, especially if you're listening to some call-in program where a bunch of people are actively tying a number of theories together. Unfortunately, after a while, you learn that many people will find a way to blame absolutely everything on the Jews, even if the original topic involved Buddhist reptilian aliens running the New World Order by taking over the Chinese government.
