And still I tell you it's Spring

The world is turning grey and white again. Snow is falling, sometimes thick enough to blur and distort the trees two houses down, giving the sense that there is a portal to another world between here and there. Other times, snow falls sparely, barely noticeable flakes drifting down almost seeming like a product of the snow-mad imagination. It's been an interesting winter. But I do believe it's spring.

The weather having been warmer lately, snow will only stick to the coldest things--metal fences, tree limbs, piles of dead leaves. Me. It hasn't been the best weekend or the best week. Yesterday was better somehow, but now that feeling seems like a mood borrowed from someone else's life. So tired, still wondering what I can do and whether it matters what I do. I'm trying to find some warmth inside, some sign of life. Today I feel like a cocoon, lifeless shell with the hope of life inside. I do hope it's spring.

It's spring here... you can tell coz the froggies are humping away with gay abandon. There are two gelatinous mounds of frog spawn in the pond. I tried to take a photo but the digital camera is such poor quality, it wasn't worth it. Think I'll get the proper camera out soon. Also, I sent you a little package today, so hopefully you will get it in a week or so.

Ooh, humping froggies! You know, it's actually been a few years since I've seen a frog. I've heard a few in previous springs, yet they went unseen. Once the weather gets warm, I need to hang around ponds more.

Oooh, package! I look forward to it. Thanks!
