Launchcast is managing to drag me out of the '80s, finally. I found another user's station yesterday by looking for fans of a certain artist I heard a lot of in high school & college. Listened to the station quite a bit yesterday and today. Yesterday, the station played lots of stuff from the '80s, true, but also a bit of more recent music by familiar artists. Today the same station's playing more recent stuff, and at the same time I feel a bit less like a lump in a bog.
To do: Finish latest mug of tea.
Dry hair enough that walking to library does not automatically induce hypothermia. (Check current weather conditions online. Shiver.)
Return library books I know I won't finish; attempt to find others that I will read. Make sure at least one book is an art book to bring some strange beauty into my life.
Read e-mail, which also brings some strange beauty into my life.
Write e-mails, make phone calls, eat lunch (not necessarily in that order).
Try to act like an optimist, even if I still don't feel like one.
