Tuesday. It's still Tuesday, right?

Yesterday (Monday) I didn't do much of anything interesting except go to the library, which is quite a high point now that I think about it. Mmm... books. Aside from returning two books and four DVDs and checking out three books and two DVDs, I walked about a mile and a half, spent lots of time on the internet, and did nothing else memorable.

Today began with a slight headache, which I made worse when I went to work on declogging a bathtub drain. Headache receded later in the day, though, so if the drain works now everything will have been worthwhile. Since it was quite rainy everytime I thought of going out and I was fairly tired to begin with, walking was limited to something less than a mile. Other than that, I spent most of the day reading, napping, or doing laundry.

This evening, in my continuing effort to remedy my cultural deficiencies, I watched the DVD of Cabaret. I had no idea that young Michael York looked so much like Marc Blucas. Oh, and the character of Sally Bowles reminded me very much of someone I used to know, though the woman I knew was much better at acting than dancing or singing. Now which film--classic or otherwise--should I watch next?

That's another movie I've never seen. Thanks for the suggestion!

Have you seen The Lost Boys? Teenage-vampire movie in the '80s, featuring a young (and sexy!) Kiefer Sutherland. Funny, not at all scary, with a great soundtrack and surprisingly good acting.

The local library doesn't seem to have that one, so I'll have to find some other way of getting to see it. Thanks for the suggestion!
